Feature Suggestions

Hi I just tried out Apprise tonight & I love it so far. Very nice.

There are though, just a few features I'd like to suggest for
consideration.
I like the AIM integration but, I don't use AIM.
I use YIM & GTalk so, are there any plans of implementing more IM
services in the future?

Also, the Twitter integration was to be expected, since mostly
everything is adding Twitter support, but I'd also like to see more
sites (social networks & micro-blogging) added of course like
Facebook, MySpace, Pownce, Plurk, etc.

A way to be notified of new feed items, like a status bar icon or
something would be nice too.

Lastly, I'm not sure if this is available, if so I'm not finding it, I
like to group my feeds.
So it would be nice to be able to do this too!

Hi, ChaCha. These are good suggestions. We thought about making
Apprise a more general social aggregator, supporting other chat
protocols and other services similar to Twitter. AIM and Twitter were
all we had time to implement for version 1.0, but we may very will
look into adding additional support in the future.

Also, you should be able to group your feeds into folders. Just click
on the folder icon with a "+" on it to start adding folders.

Some suggestions i've thought about :

- Unread/new feeds counter on the dock's icon (Mac)
- Add a little sound when new feeds are available
- Highlight the flow when new feeds are unread/available
- Add pre-written sentences for Twitter/AIM & Co such as "Reading
[Title] at [Website] : [shortened url]"

next version shortly, so we'll take these into account.

The new version looks very good! I've used the old one since I found
it from your blog. One feature I'd like to see on the next version
would be (for us Windows guys) a shrink to system tray - with an icon
change when there's new story to read? Or a notification when there's
a new story? So basically I'd like to have Apprise always running in
the background, not on my taskbar, and notifying me of new storys to
read!

Indeed that would be great !

Some other ideas :
- Possibility to copy/paste using Apple+C/Apple+V, not only with mouse
(Mac)
- Most of RSS feed links begin with "feed://www..." but Apprise do not
recognize this format and I always have to change "feed://" by
"http://" manually

Possible bug ?
- I have some feeds that, even after clicked on "Mark all as read",
always come back as "Unread" after each feeds actualisation
