Hi,

I've been using Apprise Reader for many months now and really love the
functionality and ease of use. I would like to get involved with the
project and help wherever needed. I'm a developer with a diverse
background of skill but a master of none, so I think I could add some
value to the project. Please consider me on board and ready to work.

Cheers,
-D

Hi Dan,

Since I really want to get involved with this project I decided to
configure and compile the Apprise 1.0 code available on the project
site. However, it must be an earlier version because it does not look
anything like what I have been using for months. The version I’m able
to compile does not have “New Folder” option under feeds.
Additionally it does not have “Smart Topics”, “Authors”, or “Top
Topics” accordion panels.

I then checked out the code from subversion thinking it might be more
resent but it is basically the same code. Is there a place I can
download the most resent version of the code? I want to get familiar
with the code so I can assist if needed. I’m really looking forward
to assisting on this project.

Thanks,
-D

Hi D,

I'm glad you're interested in the project! To ensure you get the
latest version of the source code, follow the instructions under the
"source" tab of the project page: http://code.google.com/p/apprise/source/checkout

You'll have to have a version of svn installed, and then you'll be
able to check the project out with "svn checkout http://apprise.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/
apprise-read-only" (or use a GUI subversion tool to accomplish the
same thing).

Hope this helps,
-Dan
