Hello,

When entering text, is there any way that the delete button can be
made to delete at the cursor and not at the previous entry? Is this
likely to be changed in a future version?

Similarly, is there any way that the file menu can be accessed without
using the mouse? "Alt + f" normally does the trick.

Regards,
Tom Cuff

Hello Tom,

To change the mapping of the delete key you can use our Customize
menubar facility.
1) In Words , select *->Customize Menu Bar (star menu is upper left
corner menu)
(2) Double-click on "Keys"
(3) Select "Delete Prev Character #3", you can change the name to be
"Delete Next Character"
(4) change macro to be wp_delete_char_key@
(5) Click "OK"

I am not aware of any problems with the Alt-F; it should be the
sequence to bring up the File menu. What flavor of Linux do you use?
Also what Window manager (Gnome or KDE or something else?)

Regards,
Michele

Hello Michele,

Thank you very much.

I use Red Hat Enterprise Linux version 4, with the Gnome desktop. None of the drop-down menus seem to respond to ALT + f  etc.

Many thanks again,
Tom
