More problems with the license server

I decided to give this one more try.

If I edit the license file, and put gibberish in where the hostid
goes, like this:

SERVER this_host abcdef

I get this error in the log:

(vistasrc) SERVER line says abcdef, hostid is (Can't get hostid of
type 2 [])

I see the problem here is with the license management software. Even
if I were to give the license file a correct hostid, Applixware won't
be able to independently generate the machine's hostid, so there's no
chance of it working, right?

You have not edited the licence file correctly, it should read
something like this:

SERVER starship 001b7dd734fb
USE_SERVER
VENDOR vistasrc
etc...

Thanks for helping me out.

I can't get it to generate the hostid part (001b7dd734fb) in your
example. How does the license server determine this?
"Can't get hostid of type 2 []" is all it tells me.
