Applications for the Applied Category Theory 2022 MRC are now open!
This
research intensive will take place from 29 May--4 June at the lakefront
Beaver Hollow Conference Center in the upstate New York town of Java
Center. All participants will have funding support for
* Travel, room, and board to the conference center,
* Attending to 2023 JMM
* Travel to continue collaborations in the year following.
The mentors and their projects are
* John Baez - chemical reaction networks
* Valeria de Paiva - indexed containers and partial compilers using lenses and Dialectica Categories
* Nina Otter - social networks and simplicial complexes
Applicants
should be either close to completing their PhD or have earned it in the
past five years. We welcome those in academia and industry. Funding is
primarily for US-based persons, though there are limited slots for
international participants. Members of groups which are
underrepresented in the mathematics and computer science communities are
especially encouraged to apply.
