The 2011 Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing will take place November 9-12 in Portland, Oregon. The conference is an excellent opportunity for students to build their technical network, expand their knowledge through both technical and career sessions, and attend presentations by industry leaders. Scholarships cover a combination of conference registration (which includes most meals), lodging, and a fixed amount of travel reimbursement funds.

We have been named tech start-up "most likely to change the world for the better" by the Guardian Activate 2010 as well as best "Best Education Start-Up" at the Telegraph 100 Awards 2011.
3. AcademyX Bootcamp is coming to NYC
AcademyX (one of the best programming training companies in the valley) is coming to NYC this summer! They're teaching both a Basic Web Development Course and a Ruby on Rails Bootcamp. A friend of mine participated in one of their programs in the valley and said it was amazing. By the end of the bootcamp, he was building applications that he never would have dreamed of. No experience is necessary for the Basic Web Development Course, which is the only pre-requisite for the Ruby on Rails Bootcamp (pre-requisite only applies if you have no web development experience).
Not only is AcademyX coming this summer, they're also offering us amazing discounts! The workshops, which normally go for $1000-1500 each, are being offered for $400-540.
Register by June 10th! Limited spots available so sign up ASAP!
