REQUEST: More event ideas!

What bit of knowledge are you willing to share with us? What How-To or Show-and-Tell can you conduct for us?

We've begun holding low-stress "events" every other week on Thursdays and it's been great fun learning new stuff, making, and playing.

What maker-y wisdom can you impart? What geeky hobby will you explain? What creative concept can you convey?

Let's hear your ideas!

Only 2 weeks left (Aug. 1) to reserve a booth at Milwaukee Makerfair - Sept 28th-30th!

Just starting mine, well, mountainboard. Got the requisite bits including a boat load of recycled 18650 cells, but still minus an actual board.

I plan on going, as Arcus 3D. Got a few open source projects in the pipeline for it in addition to the printer.

Haven't signed up yet though.

I probably should have gotten some bigger all terrain wheels. However, I like the way it turned out. It is SUPER scarey! IT GOES REALLY REALLY FAST. I put a 190kV motor on it with a 12c2p battery.

I am planning a TIG welding class this Thursday starting at 730 pm. The cost is $10.00 for each attendee for the cost of gas, electrodes, filler rods, iron etc. Here is a list of good videos on basic tig welding which I request you to watch before Thursday if at all possible, AT LEAST THE FIRST ONE. Bring a long sleeve shirt or jacket for protection. Also a wleding helmet if you have one. A welding jacket and helmet will be provided for the person actually welding. Let's make some sparks!
