This is not a Defect. Please ask these questions in the forum :)

The Yaf dll is included with Appleseed and can be used just like Rainbow.
Please remember that Appleseed is built upon rainbow and can therefore
support anything it did. We have also done over 50 bug fixes on top of
that support.
