Hi, Peter:
Sorry for the confusion in my last message a few days ago. With the recent IOS updates, we now have two ways to activate and deactivate Braille Screen Input.
1. If Braille Screen Input is in your Rotor, and it is the first item you come to when turning the rotor, it is possible that you are accidentally activating it when you are performing other gestures. If this is the case, open Settings, Accessibility,
VoiceOver, Rotor, Rotor Items and Double-tap on Braille Screen Input to unselect it, which removes it from your Rotor. Note, if you like having it in your rotor, use the Reorder item, to move it further away from its current position so it doesn't get activated
by accident.
2. The new command to activate Braille Screen Input is to place one finger from each hand, one at the top edge of the screen and the other at the bottom edge of the screen, and double-tap both fingers on the screen simultaneously. Note that to
make this work, there is an additional setting under Settings, Accessibility, VoiceOver, Braille, Braille Screen Input, that must be on. This setting is "Use Activation Gestures to turn on Braille Screen Input." To turn it off, Double-Tap on this control to
deactivate both the command to start and stop Braille Screen Input. Also, if the setting immediately below that one which is "Automatically Start Braille Screen Input When Editing," is on, then any time you are in an edit field, Braille Screen Input will be
activated. If this is on, Double-Tap on it to turn it off. If the above two controls are on, and this is how Braille Screen Input is being invoked, to stop Braille Screen Input, place one finger from each hand near the centre of your screen and slide them
apart in opposite directions towards the edges of your screen.
HTH!
