How to unlock perkin keyboard?

Hello all,

I tried to unlock braille perkin keyboard of Focus 40 5th generation but couldn’t do it.

What is right mode? Which button is that?

I've had the same problem, too. I can fix it on Focus 14 but the commands are not the same for Focus 40. Freedom Scientific gave me instructions and I will have to look for them to share with you and others. That is pain in the neck, yes indeed!

Hi,

 

Right mode is the  small button above the right panning switch at the end of the display itself.

I think this way of locking the keyboard is much too complicated and there should always be a way to get out of it without knowing these specific key commands.

Thus far, I can’t seem to find the step-by-step instructions as yet.  I agree with Claus that there is no one step to unluck the Focus 40 Braille display.  I learned something from Claus on how Focus 40 Braille keys can accidentally lock the Braille keys.  I’d like to try this but first I’ve got to know how to unlock!

My intervenor found the website how to unlock on Focus 40 so put your iphone to sleep then press home menu and press right Mac button at the same time will unlock the keyboard. It finally worked for me.

For focus 14 is different
