Linker Error (3588) wen compiling under 10.8

Dear Mail Plugin Experts,
I recently stumbled upon a weird problem: When I compile my plugin under 10.8 and run it under 10.7, then I get a linker error (3588) and Mail tells me that the plugin is not compatible. When compiling the same Xcode project under 10.7, it works on the same system without the linker error.
Have you encountered a similar issue and possibly have an idea on how to solve it or what might cause it?
