Hi There,

I am facing the below issue when I try to connect to Android device through Appium on MAC OSX.

Even though the device is connected it immediately shutting down, I have verified the environment variables and build tools availability.
Appreciate the help.

debug: Getting connected devices...

debug: executing: "/Users/rpandey/Software/adt-bundle-mac-x86_64-20140702/sdk/platform-tools/adb" devices

debug: 1 device(s) connected

debug: Sent shutdown command, waiting for UiAutomator to stop...

warn: UiAutomator did not shut down fast enough, calling it gone

debug: Cleaning up android objects

debug: Cleaning up appium session

error: Could not pre-launch appium: Error: Device auto was not in the list of connected devices

is your device listed in "adb devices" ?
if not try "adb connect localhost:PORT"

Is your env variable ANDROID_HOME set properly?
That resolved my issues.

Thanks and Regards,
