Hi,
I am using appium 1.2
I wanted to inspect elements of my app on a physical device
I connected IPhone 5 and started appium server
When I clicked on Inpsector button
It kept on showing loading symbol on the 'Appium Inspector' dialog
and following logs were seen on Appium console screen:-

debug: Request received with params: {}

error: Can't enter web frame without a bundle ID

debug: Responding to client with error: {"status":13,"value":{"message":"An unknown server-side error occurred while processing the command. (Original error: Tried to enter web frame without a bundle ID)","origValue":"Tried to enter web frame without a bundle ID"},"sessionId":"d2cce30d-83d9-41ab-8c30-074d7a887162"}

Any idea why I am facing this issue

Thanks,

Nishant Shah

You need to set the bundle id for the app. Either on the command line or (preferably) through the "bundleId" capability (https://github.com/appium/appium/blob/db97edf90f12e3b37e5b293118db5d177abec902/docs/en/writing-running-appium/caps.md#ios-only).
