Ahoy all (yet again)

I read something about the major updates in Titanium Mobile 1.0 being
really important because of the performance of WebViews.

I'm doing an app that has at least 3 separate webviews for each open
document/tab.
How bad is the performance / ram usage / etc… with using multiple WebViews?

I'm mostly just using separate WebViews instead of 1 giant webview
with multiple iFrames because I want each section to scroll
independently. I haven't been very impressed with client-side
JavaScript based scrolling/fixed position solutions for mobile webkit.

Thanks.

Yeah, webviews in _general_ are very slow.  It's certainly much better in later hardware (3GS) than earlier.

We've sped webviews up as much as possible in 1.0+ but depending on what you're doing, you'll see differences in performance.

I tried to use webview in a dialog window.
After multiple instantiation, the app are prone to crash.
