Quick question on AI2 projects in the AI Gallery.
Currently the gallery is full of AI1 projects as expected, so wondering if there will there be a separate gallery or a designation process for uploading and searching for AI1 vs AI2 project sources ?

Hi James. You can now post ai2 apps (.aia) to the gallery, but the UI hasn't been updated to allow filtering on search or indicators
as to what type each app is (besides the file name that is downloaded).

We are working on a gallery that will be integrated directly within app inventor.

Hi Dave,

My students have enjoyed sharing their apps on the gallery.  It's a great resource for new learners!  Any update on the progress you are making on the new gallery that will be integrated into app inventor?

Thanks for all your hard work on this!

Hi Jess. We're getting close. There is a test site up at galleryai2.appspot.com. Check it out.

I'm hoping to get this merged soon, hopefully by end of summer.

Hi Dave,

I have been encouraging my students this summer to upload their projects to the current App Inventor Gallery, and to support one another by using the "Like it" feature.

Currently, none of my students can like the app that is tied with Gagnam Style for first place, called 'Fruit Collector.'  It would mean a lot to my student, Yujin Park, if her app could continue to receive likes, at least until the Gallery closes.

Everyone who logs in to the gallery sees the message "You Liked it!" when they open "Fruit Collector" for the first time.

Can you tell me what might be causing this problem, and possibly even fix it?

Thanks!

Jess

Hi Jess.I'm glad to hear your students are using the gallery. We're pretty swamped but I will try to get to fixing the bug.

Hi Dave!

Whether or not the bug was fixed, my student's app is now the "most popular" app in the Gallery.  Thanks for anything you did to make that possible!

I'm very excited for the new gallery you are working on.  Keep it up!

Jess
