sprite problem

Can someone take a look at these blocks and tell me whats wrong.   Ive been toying with this for a while and its the only thing holding me up before I can 
put this one on the market.

I have a sprite that uses a timer to make it look like its walking.

I want to have 4 sets of sprites that walk depending on which way your tilting the phone.

Tilt up and he walks away from you....tilt right and he walks right.

THe closest Ive gotten is using the roll and pitch with 25.   but the images jump and dont 
go the right way...they stick on one way then stick on the other... its not fluid.


Can someone offer a fix?

I struggled with doing this with sprites, rotating them using heading and tinkering with speed and could not figure out a way to do it. I then decided to use a ball instead to simplfy the problem (no rotation of an image). The result was an example app that rolls a ball around on the screen when the device is tilted. Sorry it is not exactly what you were asking for, but it would certainly work with an image sprite but you would have to work out the rotation of the image if you need it to do that.
