Hi,

Does the helper use Django 1.1? It seems to be available on AE.

Thanks
Alvin

You can use any version of Django that you want, using ZipImport. Read the instructions here: http://code.google.com/appengine/articles/appengine_helper_for_django.html

I just found the recommendation a bit off putting. Maybe it should be
updated to show that 1.1 is supported.

"We strongly recommend that you use Django 1.0 inside a zipfile as
described above. If you prefer to stick with the 0.96 version of
Django bundled in the SDK you can use an older (unsupported) version
of the helper which you will find in the django096_compatible branch
of the project SVN repository. This branch is unsupported and will not
receive any further updates."

yeah, 1.1 is totally supported now, but we haven't really gone through all the motions to make sure everything works yet...

so i guess, if you find a problem let us know :p

Well, it is supported. I have been using 1.1 for some time and except for django.auth & django.admin, most features are working fine
