Dear friends,
Thank you to all who helped organize and who participated in the morning of recollection and making it such a success.  Let us continue to pray for one another that this Lent may be a time of spiritual renewal that we may walk always in the name of The Lord!  The upcoming events include the following:

Avila Society, Sunday 6:15pm in Burke Hall.

St. Gregory Guild, Sunday 7:30pm in the rectory.

Brunch: Sunday March 23rd, following the 11am Mass in the parking lot.

Bible Study: Sunday March 23rd, 6:15pm in Burke Hall.

Dinner for RCIA Students: April 14th: 7:15pm, Burke Hall

Canoe Trip: May 10th.  Mass at 8am in the Cathedral

Avila Society, Sunday 6:15pm in Burke Hall.
The Avila Society is a women's group for continuing formation in the faith.  This coming Sunday we will study the four last things as we gather in Burke Hall at 6:15pm.  This will be more discussion based including, why is it important for us to think about these things?  We will begin with Evening prayer.

St. Gregory Guild, Sunday 7:30pm in the rectory.
A men's group for continuing formation, The St. Gregory Guild will gather and consider the dignity of the human person from our Bishop's pastoral letter: Bought with a Price.  This topic is at the heart of the moral and and cultural war that is constantly waging around us.

Brunch: Sunday March 23rd, following the 11am Mass in the parking lot.
We will meet in the Cathedral Parking Lot after the 11am Mass before heading out to brunch.  We will be going to Cava Mezze for their delicious food and fun atmosphere.

Bible Study: Sunday March 23rd, 6:15pm in Burke Hall.
On March 23rd we will gather to continue our study of the book of Daniel.  We will read chapter 6 together and consider the wisdom of the holy prophet.

Dinner for RCIA Students: April 14th: 7:15pm, Burke Hall
Each year during lent various groups host dinners for the RCIA students in order to introduce the soon to be Catholics to the parish.  We will be serving pizza and will need some volunteers to help with drinks and salad.  Please let me know if you are willing able to join us for this event and if you are able to assist in bringing some food items.

Canoe Trip: May 10th.  Mass at 8am in the Cathedral
The diocesan canoe trip will launch with Mass from our Cathedral.  After Mass, those who are going will head out to the beautiful Shenandoah valley for the canoe trip.  More information will be forthcoming.

Yours in Christ,
Fr. Weber
