Dear Friends,
In the first place, praised be Jesus Christ on the feast of the Holy Saint Theresa!
My schedule unexpectedly opened up this evening. Would anyone like to see the movie 'Gravity'? Ballston Mall is showing it at 6:30 and at 7:00pm.
Last Sunday I wanted to share the reflections that I found very helpful to me about Revelation 12:1-3. It is an eminently important text in the scripture and regrettably one that academics in and out of the catholic church have been lampooning. Finding a commentary that fits well with the tradition, I was utterly delighted. However, it didn't translate well into the group. So, I'm attaching a rather rough reflection that I write up about the sign that we have in this text. I hope you enjoy it as much or even more than I did!
This coming Sunday:
The Avila Society will meet on Sunday at 6:15. the topic will be St. Theresa's discussion of the Our Father from the Way of perfection and it will be led by Michele.
The St. Gregory Guild will meet on Sunday at 7:30pm in the rectory. We will read and discuss Chesterton's "In defense of Rash Vows."
Oct. 27 is our pilrgrimmage to Mount St. Mary's. Please come to the 9:30am Mass then meet in the parking lot afterwards to head up to the Mount. It will be an all day event but one well worth the trip! We'll be back around 8:00-8:30pm
Thank you! God bless,
Fr. Weber
