MiddleHaven presents: Night of the Traveler

Lord Logain Lawrence Lockheart and his lady wife, Lady Lillian cordially invite you to brush the dust of the road off and enter their home in celebration of "the Night of the Traveler".  On this most holy night of the god Dabeth, scores of people take to the streets to celebrate the end of winter and the coming of spring.  Others seek out the roads in hopes of meeting the mysterious Traveler himself, the one who only appears on this night of nights hiding his identity from all.

 

The festivities will include:

The Masquerade: Because the Traveler hides his identity, so do many revelers on this night.  A prize will be awarded to the best disguise of the evening!

A Warrior's Challenge: While champions of Different Faiths, both the Lord and Lady Lockhearts worship Gods of war Rashyer and Valkor respectively, and no gathering would be complete without a demonstration of martial prowess. A special weapon will be awarded to the greatest, and also the most honorable, warrior of the land.

Mixologist's Challenge: For our Alchemists and Barkeepers alike, this challenge is to create the most interesting beverages with the components at a hand. The Victor will receive a rare and value prize.

Bard's Challenge: What evening of fine food, drink, and celebration would be complete without a musical contest! All folk of whatever bardic talent are encouraged to enter- be it song, poem, Joke Telling, or silent shadow puppets! The performer who best wins the hearts of judges will be rewarded with a song of ancient power.

A Test of Nimbleness and Balance: Are your nimble of spine and limb? Dare you accept this most difficult challenge of grace and skill? Only the greatest will taste victory and be awarded a great prize, the rest will suffer the indignity of defeat.

The Riddler's Challenge: Put your mind to the test, are you clever enough to defeat it?  The winner will walk away with an awesome prize.

 

Other challenges and games will occur throughout the festivities, and many more prizes will be awarded.  The Lockhearts are greatly looking forward to sharing this day with you.
