Hey Section 85,
 
In the next few weeks there are a lot of things going on in Section 85 as well as National programs and deadlines, see below for all of this important information.   
 
Tomorrow:
Section 85/86 Spring Break Service and Fellowship Day
9:30 am - 4 pm

This Friday:
Stay-Awake-A-Thon at American University
8 pm- 4 am
Benefiting The Family Health and Birthing Center.  There will be lots of food and games!
Attached is a flyer with all of the information. 
 
Wednesday, March 28th:
APO IMPACT Live- Presidents
9-10 pm
Designed for new and experienced presidents.  Will focus on the roles and responsibilities of chapter presidents, and will focus on skills that will be needed to run a healthy chapter by working with advisers and officers to running meetings of all sorts.  
 
Thursday, March 31st - Sunday, April 3rd: 
Zeta Phi Weekend!
Have you ever wondered what its like at Howard University? Did you ever want to see what its like to fellowship with the Brothers from Zeta Phi? Heard of the infamous Death March and want to experience it for yourself? Well, the Zeta Phi Chapter would like to cordially invite you to the 2nd Annual Zeta Phi Weekend hosted by the Zeta Phi Chapter at Howard University. Events will commence on Thursday, March 31st and continue through Sunday, April 3, 2011.

APO Impact Live- Graduating Seniors
9-10 pm
Active years are limited but APO IS FOR LIFE! Join us to find out what the world of APO can offer you after graduation.  From professional and volunteer development to exciting social occasions, the life of the alumni is never dull.  This webinar will offer suggestions about how to find alumni associations in your area (or start your own!); how to make contact with the current volunteer leadership; the steps toward becoming a presenter; and other ways you can continue your commitment to Leadership, Friendship, and Service.
 
Friday, April 8th:
GW Field Day
11 am- 2 pm 
The Theta Chi chapter at The George Washington University will be holding their first ever field day on the National Mall.  They will be hosting hundreds of DC school children for a day a fun games.

Boy Scout Emergency Preparedness Camporee
Time: 8am-5pm

Looking for cheerful and energetic brothers to assist with putting on scenarios that will help Boy Scouts learn lifesaving skills, assist with other duties as they crop up. Event will host most DC Boy Scout troops, Cub Scout Packs and members of the public. Local first responders scheduled to attend and give additional demonstrations. Local media and DC government invited to attend. Looking for as many brothers as possible to assist.
Deadline: Volunteer commitments e-mailed by April 1. They'll accept volunteers up until the day of the camporee, but must notify Bill before showing up.

Fall Pledgeclass Namesake Nominations due
Attached to this email is the nomination information for the fall pledgeclass namesake.  Anyone can nominate someone to be the fall pledgeclass namesake, if you feel there is someone worthy of this recognition then nominate them!
 
Monday, May 2nd:
The John Mack Scholarship Application due.  This scholarship can be used for and undergrad or graduate degree, so fill it out even if you're a senior!
