APO Effigy Workshop

What’s 16 foot tall, is highly combustible, makes the earth rumble,
smokes and can make any village of natives run for their lives? That’s
right! This year’s VolCANO effigy!
Join us at the Phoenix Asylum on March 21st noon – 5pm for the next
effigy workshop. During the first workshop those present got to hear
detailed plans of every aspect of the VolCANO. They also had the
opportunity to offer ideas of their own to make the effigy even more
awesome.
During this weekend’s workshop we will begin the first phase of
construction. How exciting! We will focus on building the internal
structure, design lighting and hold further discussions to develop the
best burn effect possible. So bring your favorite pair of work gloves
and eye protection and let’s have some fun. No matter your knowledge
or skill level you are guaranteed to be able to contribute and learn
something at the same time. This will be a very organized workshop
keeping at least 20-25 people busy building and creating.
What? You just got your nails done or don’t want to get bothersome
calluses on your hands? Well, that’s ok too. You are still encouraged
to come out, enjoy homebrewed beer out of the keg-o-rator and cheer on
your fellow Apogeans. After all, FUN is our first and most important
goal!

May 9th – External texturing & virgin offering platform (does that say
virgin?)
May 16th – Effigy fun-raiser party (your first chance to shake your
drunken booty at the foot of VolCANO)
June 4th – APO!!!!
