EC meeting
2-25-14

Attendance: Colin K, Priyanka B, Nathan L, Autumn H, Jenn K, Cory C, Gina P, Brandon P, Rebecca P

Service Report
Only a few people made cards yesterday
    o     If you can, get the word out to people on campus, there will be another day for Cards for Cards and we need more people
Working with the Pegasus Parade, if anyone wants to take over that Saturday and be in charge for that
Mary Hurst – rescheduled for some time in March
Working on sectionals now
    o     Figuring out what will count for service hours that weekend
All events are planned and on the calendar
Make sure to collect pop-tabs
Fellowship report
Planning an event sometime next week/in the near future
    o     Movies (Floyd or 5 dollar movies)
    o     Museum day sometime
    o     Fun farm day
April 22nd, laser tag that evening
Information about the hockey game going out in chapter meeting
Membership report
Working on finding out who is going inactive

There will be pledge class leadership positions
    o     They’ll be running for positions like president, VP of service and fellowship
March 4th we will also have meeting not in the campus visit room

VP of Service
raiseRED is this weekend.  Please try to get your last minute donations.  And be ready to show up to dance Friday night!
    o     You HAVE to raise $50 before you can participate
    o     Look out for the different themes throughout the night
Events on APOonline, please go and sign up.  Be looking for more possible events to be posted soon.
Please keep collecting poptabs for Ronald McDonald House.
Tomorrow ELSB is doing an event in Miller Hall - 4:30-6:30p for Kentucky Refugees Ministries to make signs that say MY KENTUCKY HOME.  They will be serving Fazzoli's. 2 outside hours for attending this event.
And we'll be working on service hours for sectionals next week during committee meeting.

VP of Membership
Please remember to log all your events on APO Online, if there is something wrong with your account let me know ASAP
Gina Vito will be working super hard all week to get ready for RaiseRED this week. If you could message her throughout the week or write on her FB wall and let her know all her work that would be awesome and so brotherly! 
Congrats to everyone who worked so hard and participated in Fryberger! Y'all were all rockstars and special shoutout to AOII (Debbi & Totz) who won and Lambda Chi (Nathan & Sam) who took home best men’s solo!

VP of Fellowship
Glad to be back, sorry for being gone for a few weeks!
The next week, there will be some kind of fellowship event
    o     Something small, like movies or dinner
In march after the 15th, we will be making a fellowship event to go to the Muhammad Ali center
There will be a hockey game 
    o     Let Jenn know if you’d like to go
Reading day this semester: Laser tag day!
    o     $20 for all you can play laser tag, pizza and drink
    o     As soon as Cory gets the date solidified it will go online
    o     There is a non-refundable deposit so we HAVE to make sure we can all do it

VP of Leadership
There are webinars on the calendar 
    o     One tonight on Spring Youth Service Day after meeting 9-10
Retention webinar 3/26 at 9
Would like to do Bartending 101 event after spring break, and a communications seminar
Make sure to let me know about any outside points you’ve earned

Important dates
    o     2/28: have all big/little information emailed to me
    o     3/4: BIG/LITTLE CEREMONY before meeting
    o     3/17: pledge service event during pledge meetings in W314 at 6:30
    o     3/28-3/29: pledge retreat
    o     4/13: initiation

Sorry I could not be there this week but I am helping get things ready for raiseRED. Hope you all are excited.
Crawford gym should be getting reserved this week.
Please make sure that you are registering for sectionals.
Section staff and us will have red shirts for that weekend everyone else will have blue.
The souvenirs have been decided: Sunglass (red, white, & blue) with Alpha Phi Omega printed on them, and a color changing water bottle that goes from clear to red.
For that weekend I will need board games for that Friday night fellowship.
If you have a job for sectionals, look out for an email

Made invitations for the birthday bash, and we will be sending those out shortly, by the end of next week
We’ll be going over menu soon for event

Motion to discuss dues
    o     After evaluating dues and discussing with EC, we will be having dues at $60 this semester
    o     This is because we’re hosting sectionals and the birthday celebration so we will be having to pay more all around, so it wouldn’t be more
    o     Part of the reason it’s going up slowly is renting fees, having to pay more money for sectionals than we’d hope
    o     Motion for amount of $60 passes
    o     DUES ARE DUE MARCH 18th!!!
One of the new pledges came to Priyanka about Random Acts of Health
    o     Some members will be coming to pledge and chapter meetings to talk to us about volunteering 
    o     There are also opportunities for more service for Wheelchair Basketball April 2-6 all days then, keep those dates in mind
