Use of multiple servers to send push message for better performance?

Hello,

I heard that Apple only allow max 20 connections per host, and as PHP is single threaded, although I can run as multiple process to boost the performance, there is still the limit of max 20 connections per hosts.

What if, if I use multiple hosts to send out the message? e.g. use 20 servers then I can maintains 20 x 20 = 400 connections. Are there any limit of max. total connections? Or the limit of 20 is just per host?
