Dear Moti Mitra,

Greetings!

Let us take this opportunity to connect with all of you once more, in some cases, may be, after years.

Friends, when we look back on our lives' journeys and introspect, we realise that life has been more than kind to us.

Reasonable hard work, reasonable luck by chance, coupled with blessings of the Almighty, our parents, family, and above all our friends, (Motis and non-Motis), have given us an identity which we are all proud of. In sculpting and achieving this identity, our alma mater, MNREC/MNNIT, has undoubtedly played a key role.

We were fortunate that on the one hand, the state subsidised our tuition and hostel fees and on the other our parents/guardians provided us for our tuition, lodging and boarding and other living expenses.

While the above depicts a very rosy picture of the Motis, many meritorious and deserving students could not achieve Motidom, by metamorphosis into Motis, on joining MNREC/MNNIT, as they and their families were economically so weak and insecure that they could neither afford to pay for an education that they actually deserved so much, nor could they muster the required resources through established, conventional means or by relatively unconventional ones.

While the Indian economy has grown significantly since we graduated, the situation has not changed much on the ground. Even today, there are many deserving students who cannot afford the cost of education in MNNIT or other similar institutes.

The question looming large in front of us, therefore, is: "Can we do something about this, individually or collectively, and thus, at least make a beginning to, make a difference?"

And, in response to the above question, a dedicated special purpose vehicle has been conceptualised and is being established for a formal launch soon, so as  to give us Motis a platform for fulfilling what has been simmering in our hearts for long.

Towards this end, we are also happy to share that against our application, the Registrar of Companies has already approved the name, "ANMOL MOTI FOUNDATION" (AMF) for the above purpose, as a Section 25 company.

AMF would provide each of us an opportunity to translate from dream into reality and to give an expression to the feelings that each of us has been treasuring and nurturing for years, sometimes secretly and without articulation, a feeling that can be summed up and expressed in the words, "We care, and we want to contribute our mite to make a difference to the lives of the deserving have-nots. We would be willing to seize an opportunity to pay back to the society, through an attempt at the upliftment of some of the stars-to-be, languishing on the ground today, in our lifetime, and to thus say "Thank You" for everything that we got in life thru' life."

With the above backdrop, we are happy to cordially invite you to a get-together and an informal launch of our "ANMOL MOTI FOUNDATION" on 6th March 2016 at 11.30 AM at Salil Gupta's Farmhouse, Off Noida Expressway, Sector-151, Noida, U.P. PIN 201310

All are requested to join and support this noble cause.

Contribution for the lunch and drinks to be served during the get-together: ₹ 1000 per head.

Please confirm your participation ASAP to make necessary arrangements at the farmhouse.

With warm regards,

TEAM ANMOL MOTI
