Hi,

I would like to know if I can use Apilio for my current need:

I have a 2 devices connected to  IFTTT and I would like to trigger the first one at a specific time, and only after that the first one is triggered I want the second one to be triggered.
Is there any way to do that with Apilio ?

Many thanks for your help

Yedid

The short answer is yes, it's possible. It may also be possible with IFTTT only depending on what the devices are, what triggers them, and whether they can provide feedback on their status.

For example, if you want to turn on a smart bulb at 6pm every day, then turn on another smart bulb at 6:01, you can easily do that with two separate IFTTT applets using the Date & Time service. But if you need confirmation that the first action succeeded that would depend on whether the first bulb could report its current state. Can you give any more details on the available IFTTT triggers/actions for the devices?

Hi Yedid,

do you need to actually verify that the first trigger succeed, or is it enough to add a static delay of a couple of seconds?
The former is not possible with Apilio (and I guess with most solutions), because devices usually do not report if an action was successful. The latter setup is no problem with Apilio, like thequiteman44 already said.

Cheers
