Outreach & Recruiting Opportunity at API Equality-LA at FPAC
Saturday & Sunday, September 10 & 11, 2011, 10am - 6pm

API Equality-LA will be doing outreach at the 20th Annual Festival of Philippine Arts and Culture (FPAC) at Pt. Fermin Park in San Pedro.

WHAT:
The Festival of Philippine Arts and Culture (FPAC) is the largest presenter of Philippine arts and culture in Southern California presenting over 1,200 artists and attracting over 25,000 audience members from all over the country.  For more information on event performances and program, please go to http://filamarts.org/ 

WHEN:
Saturday & Sunday, September 10 & 11, 2011, 10am - 6pm

VOLUNTEER SHIFTS:
Saturday, 9/10
  Shift 1: 10:00am - 1:00pm
  Shift 2: 12:30pm - 3:30pm
  Shift 3: 3:00pm - 6:00pm

Sunday, 9/11
  Shift 1: 10:00am - 1:00pm 
  Shift 2: 12:30pm - 3:30pm
  Shift 3: 3:00pm - 6:00pm

To sign up for one or more shifts, please email Brian at br...@apiequalityla.org. Volunteers will get an exhibitor’s wristband or entrance ticket when they arrive. Please call or text the day’s point-person below (Mimi or Ericson) to obtain your ticket before entering.

Entrance Fee : Please pay the $9 entrance fee and we will reimburse you!

PARKING:
Go for street parking in the area. However, if you are unable to, there is alternative parking half-mile away at 22nd street. There will be shuttles taking festival goers back and forth from 22nd street. Please allow 30 minutes for parking & walking! See alternative parking w/ shuttle:

DRESS FOR SUCCESS:
If you have volunteered with us before, please remember to come wearing your red API Equality-LA t-shirt. If you are joining us for the first time, we will be pleased to provide you with a free red API Equality-LA t-shirt to wear during the outreach.
