Legacy of Japanese American Activism Conference 2011
Japanese American National Museum
LGBT(JA?)Q
Ever wondered why there are so few "out" members of the Japanese American activist community? Ever wondered why there are so few Japanese Americans in the Queer activist community? Ever wondered why these are two separate communities to begin with?
Us too.
As part of the first Legacy of Japanese American Activism Conference, come participate in a workshop aimed at creating a more inclusive Japanese American community. If you want to kickstart a long-overdue conversation and identify as part of the JA community, as JA, or if you simply want to lend your voice, we want to see you there!
Legacy of Japanese American Activism is an intergenerational conference of Nikkei activists, taking place on Nov. 5, 2011 at the Japanese American National Museum. The conference focuses on not only discussing critical community issues but taking action in order to emphasize the legacy of activism in our community, past, present and future.
