BeamSuntory currently has an opening in Clermont KY for a Logistics Manager.

 

Mission:

Lead efforts to review, evaluate and recommend, and implement global supply chain processes and activities in such a way as to improve service and/or cost results. Requires leading cross-functional efforts with shipping sites, destinations, Customer Service, Procurement, Planning, third party providers, etc.

 

Evaluate and recommend logistics providers (e.g. carriers) to provide services including rate negotiation and management of RFQ processes.  Assist to manage annual spend of more than $13 million.

 

Monitor internal and external partners’ performance via KPIs.  Provide insights and thought leadership for the supply chain.

Qualifications

 

Qualifications:

• Five or more years of diversified transportation experience
• Project leadership involving multiple functions
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Knowledge of transportation law, the Interstate Commerce Act, Department of Transportation Regulations including Hazardous Materials Regulations (Hazmat certification a plus).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient skills with Microsoft Office
• Demonstrated analytical ability to gather, evaluate and present data
• Excellent knowledge of ERP systems and their usage(SAP experience preferred)
• Supply Chain & Project Management Education/Certification desired
• Experience with selecting and working with third parties desired.
