Beam currently has an opening for a Raw Material Planner in Frankfort KY

Role Mission

This role is responsible for scheduling raw materials for U.S. bottling operations; the primary responsibility will be labels and bottle decoration. This individual will schedule raw materials to meet forecast and bottling requirements for Beam’s supply chain and develop relationships with the suppliers to optimize capacity and minimize obsolescence. This person will be responsible for managing inventory levels for packaging changes and ensure availability for FTB innovations.

This position has the opportunity to be an influence and make valuable contribution for supply chain operations, inventory controls, and financial implications. This role has the opportunity to manage, analyze, and make decisions for high value raw materials and make an immediate impact on the details of the business. This individual will be the lead role for label supply and bottle decoration for U.S. operations. This position will be a major contributor to the transition of manufacturing to SAP

Outcomes/Success Criteria

  • Success for this position will be measured by OTIF deliverables of labels and bottle decoration to the U.S. bottling operations
  • KPI’s for this position include inventory Turns, and monthly inventory holding capital
  • Success for this position will be measured by FTB innovation on-time start up, as well as, managing 30, 60, & 90 day inventory levels for innovation projects.
  • Successful inventory management of label and bottle decoration during drastic demand changes; the ability to maximize opportunity for growth and the ability to minimize risks during product declines.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SAP
  • Full understanding of supply chain and materials management principals
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize business needs
  • Operate in a team environment
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities in problem solving resolution
  • Must demonstrate strong work ethic with attention to detail

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in related discipline
  • 3-5 years’ experience in raw materials planning in a fast paced changing environment
  • Prior experience with ERP/MRP system (SAP preferred).
  • Supply Chain certifications (CPSM, CPIM, CSCP etc.)
  • Demonstrated leadership in operations agility and multi-tasking
