Beam Suntory currently has an opening for a Production Scheduling / Master Scheduler Manager in Frankfort KY

Role Mission

Manager, Production Scheduling/Master Scheduler contributes to the success of the overall plant operation by strategically managing the overall production stream through the Frankfort Plant. The Manager is a strategic thinker that pulls the entire supply chain together with plant operations and looks at production holistically to coordinate an optimized production plan. The Manager is a dedicated Plant liaison between Customer Service, Materials Management, Centralized Planning, 3rd Parties providers, 3rd Party Customer(s), Commercial, Finance, as well as other departments. The Manager continually communicates FF Production status, capacity planning, changes and capability

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education- Bachelor’s Degree in Materials Management, Logistics, Business or Finance a minimum; Master Degree in Supply Chain or related field preferred.
  • Years of experience – Minimum 5 to 7 years managing scheduling, production planning and/or materials management utilizing SAP or ERP system.
  • Experience with materials & finished goods planning and inventory management in a multi-site, CPG manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in a make-to-stock production planning system, using SAP-MRP as a primary planning tool with SAP (MPS/MRP) and Inventory management.
  • Experience with APO & Detailed Scheduling or similar advanced planning supply network planning, scenario analysis, multi level constraint planning tools experience External Procurement Planning, Resource Scheduling and Sequence Optimization. PP/DS - Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling a must.
  • Understanding of the following: KPIs, order/piece fill rates, Life in days (LID), On time in full (OTIF), Purchase Price Variance (PPV), schedule adherence, Economic Batch Quantities (EBQ’s), etc.
  • Previous experience implementing SAP planning in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Level of experience- Excellent analytical, organizational, investigation, problem solving and communication skills are a must. This position requires exceptional computer proficiency in SAP, MS Word, Excel, Access, Power Point. Must have significant previous experience working with SAP and AS400 in a fast pace industrial/ manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to make critical decisions and stay calm in fluid and changing situations.
  • ISO, Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.
