Dynacraft

Dynacraft, a PACCAR Company, is headquartered in Algona, WA, which is a suburb of Seattle. Dynacraft is a diversified global manufacturer of PACCAR medium and heavy-duty truck parts sold under the Kenworth, Peterbilt, and DAF nameplates. For more than forty years, Dynacraft has provided the company’s truck manufacturing divisions and PACCAR Parts service parts division with high quality components, subassemblies and specialized services. Dynacraft has two manufacturing facilities in Algona, WA and Louisville, KY.



Requisition Summary

The Materials Analyst reports directly to the Materials Supervisor and is responsible for managing multiple Dynacraft supply chains to support manufacturing and distribution for all Dynacraft facilities.

The ideal candidate is one that is proactive in working with suppliers, customers, and production to ensure material availability, premium freight, surplus and obsolete, and inventory turn goals are met. Fact-based decision making is a requirement for success.


Job Functions / Responsibilities

• Help define and continuously improve department processes and procedures in line with quality and lean development goals for the division
• Learn and execute best practices for part planning including ABC analysis, and forecasting methodologies
• Execute best practices for managing supplier relations and performance including supplier performance reviews to senior management, conduct supplier visits and resolve supplier issues
• Identify supplier packaging, shipping, logistics and production opportunities for improvement and work to improve these areas to reduce lead times and improve supplier delivery reliability

Qualifications & Skills

• Four-year degree in Business or Supply Chain Management required

• APICS Certification preferred
• Self-motivated
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks with varying schedules and shifting priorities
• Analytical, detail oriented, and a critical thinker
• Demonstrated ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite tools, including ACCESS
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to articulate requirements to suppliers and suppliers and supply chain risks to the Dynacraft business team effectively
• Ability to prioritize under pressure, and make decisions independently when required
• Ability to work well with people and operate as a team player
• Must display sound judgment
• Ability to develop, maintain, and post meaningful metrics and visual controls to support progress towards assigned goals
• Experience with AutoCAD, reading prints, and SAP a plus
• Working knowledge of statistics, operations management concepts, and lean operations/office best practices strongly desired
