Logistics Lead in Frankfort KY
Mission:
Lead team efforts to execute logistics activities for the sites assigned. Activities include assigning carriers to shipments per business awards, completing required
transactions in our ERP system (SAP), and monitoring carrier daily performance.
Develop, document, implement and maintain transportation procedures.
Requires leading cross-functional efforts with shipping sites, destinations, Customer Service, Procurement, Planning, third party providers, etc. Work closely with
other functions to streamline processes and coordinate an efficient order-to-cash process.
Train, develop, and coordinate the activities of logistics team.

Qualifications
Desired Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree
-
Three or more years of diversified transportation experience

One or more years of supervisory experience
-
Ability to work without direct supervision
-
Knowledge of transportation law, the Interstate Commerce Act, Department of Transportation Regulations including Hazardous Material Regulations. (Hazmat certification a plus.)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-
Proficient skills with Microsoft Office

Demonstrated analytical ability to gather, evaluate, and present data

Excellent knowledge of ERP systems and their usage (SAP experience preferred)

Experience working with third party logistics providers desired
