Please join us for an exciting and informative tour of Winston Industries. Winston manufactures high tech, high quality food service equipment which is sold globally to a wide array of customers ranging from schools, institutions, chain restaurants, to the finest white tablecloth restaurants in the world.

Like most manufacturers, Winston Industries faces many difficult business challenges and are continually searching for ways to manage through them and achieve a competitive advantage.

They have recently engaged the Kentucky Manufacturing Assistance Center (KMAC) to develop and promote Lean within their organization. Some of the results and achievements include:

·        Inventory turns have increased by 60% as compared to pre-Lean activity

·       Employee turnover has reduced by nearly 40%

·       Cash flow is much better

·       Our product quality is improving. We enjoyed a quality level much better than our industry average prior to lean, and have experienced a significant improvement since we’ve started the implementation.

They have received many other benefits in areas such as communication, cooperation and focus. We are looking forward to hearing their story and the path that took them there. This will be a great learning opportunity.
