Buenos dias : 

Alguien me podria decir como podria obtener la lista de categorias de 11870, pero en español?. 

Si llamo a la api "http://api.11870.com/api/v2/categories?appToken=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX&alt=json" obtengo la lista completa pero en ingles. 

Sabeis si existe algun parametro para incluir en esta url para elegir el idioma de los resultados?.

La puedes conseguir en español usando la cabecera HTTP "Accept-Language":
