There are two types of due process - basically:

PROCEDURAL due process: Is that process (application) of the law
fair? i.e. Did the police read you your rights? Did they give you a
lawyer? Did the gov't apply the law to Person A in a different way
than Person B? etc...

SUBSTANTIVE due process: Is the substance (stuff) of the law fair?
Is the law itself fair? i.e. Does the law take away your fundamental
rights (speech, etc)?Does the law treat a certain group, race, etc
differently?


Does that make sense?
