As noted by David on GitHub, it would be useful for the colophon of the book to point to an official free version of the textbook, to curtail the possibility of OER pirating that happens on Amazon.
(1. The whole idea of pirating OER seems ridiculous, but it does seem to happen.
2. So far I don't see any unauthorized versions of APEX for sale, so that's good.)

I can certainly add a line that points back to apexcalculus.com, but are there thoughts on what that should look like?
Also, apexcalculus.com currently makes limited mention of the PreTeXt conversion.

I can point to the books available at opentext.uleth.ca/calculus.html but at some point Greg will want to host his own official versions.

Long term, I think we should link to apexcalculus.com for all things APEX Calc. Having said that, right now Sean's HTML version is the essentially the official HTML version. (Yes, I'd like to host it sometime (for multiple reasons), but I've been slow to move that direction (again, for multiple reasons, including ignorance on how to do that). ) And the HTML version should be more publicized. I don't mention it much on apexcalculus.com, in part, because I didn't want to send unwanted traffic to Sean's site. But I can make it more front & center, for sure. (Plus, my daughter tells me my website is terrible and needs updating. Maybe I should listen.)

Upshot: for now, we could say something like "visit apexcalculus.com for more info about the book, including free downloads of the text. Also, visit   opentext.uleth.ca/calculus.html for the HTML version."

I've got a dedicated server for these books, so please feel free to send traffic!
We can work on getting a more user-friendly build script (though Windows support could be more challenging?)
In the meantime if you were interested in getting a copy of the HTML version on your site, I could send you a zip file (via Google drive or something) that you just upload to your web server an extract.
Not a great long term solution because I'd have to send you a new zip every time we updated the book.

I'll update the website to make your site more visible.

The apexcalculus site is run through Squarespace, and I have a legacy account that limits what I can do (for much less $$ than current accounts). So I'll need to figure out a new web hosting service, etc. Just haven't delved into that yet. I do have colleagues who are knowledgeable, just haven't spent the time on it yet.

I would hope that your institution is willing to provide you with a server and domain name!
(I am probably not the only person in the world who would never have heard of VMI if not for APEX Calculus! Hosting your books should be good PR for them)

It would be good to have a central website which directs
people to all the sanctioned versions. In particular, I think
it is good for Greg's website to point to Sean's HTML
(as well as to print, free PDF, and any other versions).
And when Sean and Greg are both hosting, and there are differences,
those differences can be described on Greg's website.

Some examples of pages pointing to multiple books are:

https://yoshiwarabooks.org/

https://activecalculus.org/

https://spaces.pcc.edu/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=52729944

Not all of those pages are excellent (it would be good if we
had advice for author/publisher pages), but at least those are
a starting point.

Note that I host the first two of those at AIM.

The Active Calc page is simple & clear. A good model.

I love my institution, and it has its quirks. We haven't tried recently, but a while back someone tried to host something on institutional server space. I don't think it went well. I don't mind paying for a hosting service, I just need to get around to it.
