In case I find time today (I think I can do this in under an hour):

- Now that versioning is available in PreTeXt, should I go rescue the old spherical coordinates section from the dustbin, and set up the ability to choose it as an alternate version?

- In print, I added a '\raggedbottom' option in the .tex file. This guarantees that the page breaks for the print (2-sided) version line up exactly with the colour (1-sided) version. The downside is that you don't get the nice aesthetic of the bottom of each page lining up exactly.
The upside is that students using the two versions will see everything in the same place, and (for me) there is no need to adjust the location of figures in the margin.

Greg, if you are OK with the ragged bottom option, I'll officially add it into the style files.

Having the print and pdf match, page for page, is a must. So keep the \raggedbottom! (And I have learned a new LaTeX macro.)

I say leave the old spherical coordinates in the dustbin. If they really need to be rescued, we (by which I mean, someone other than Greg) can do some git magic and pull it out. But I really, really, really like the convention that we established here. Kudos to Sean, Alex & all others who contributed that. I really like how it reads in the text - kudos to Sean for that write-up. Maybe one day we'll get a shout-out on the Mathworld page.

Overall - great job, Sean, on all the work on conversion, editing, and more. Very well done. Your pdf is 1,225 pages long! That's a lot of work.

\raggedbottom will soon become standard for the two-sided printoption. Almost
happened this morning.

Ha!

If I were only going to make a print PDF, I might keep \flushbottom,
because it does look nicer.
But I think matching is more important.

There is still a slight discrepancy between colour and print PDF: after
each exercise section, \clearpage gets interpreted in 2-side layout as
\cleardoublepage, so that each chapter and section begins on an odd
page. Those blank pages are left out of the 1-side layout.

So page numbering is a bit different, but each corresponding page will
match up.
