This month’s issue of Apex Magazine has been posted. You’ll notice that it’s an issue dedicated to the short fiction of Mary Robinette Kowal. Two new works are presented–a novelette and a short story, along with a re-issue of a pair of stories previously published by Apex.

Mary Robinette Kowal is the Campbell-winning, Hugo-nominated author of Scenting the Dark (Subterranean Press) and the upcoming Shades of Milk and Honey (Tor Books). Her work has appeared in Asimov’s, Strange Horizons, Cosmos, and several times in Apex Magazine.

The novelette is a rare treat, as we typically don’t publish fiction longer than 7,500 words. However, there is a lengthy history to “The Bride Replete” that finally ended with its publication in Apex Magazine: a perfect, happy ending!

So enjoy the work of MRK (yep, she’s almost famous enough to be known exclusively by her initials). We think you’ll see why she earns all the accolades.

Go read Apex Magazine now!
