This is a weird one. On my machine I have an alias from
/Library/Application Support/Aperture/Plug-Ins/MyPlugin.ApertureEdit to
another location (into my development tree), and it shows up in the Edit
list in Aperture fine.

On a non-development test machine, the same alias to the edit plugin
doesn't work - the plugin doesn't show up at all in Aperture.

Is this supposed to work? Is there any way to find out why Aperture is
ignoring a plugin under certain circumstances?

Wow took a whole day for my message to show up.

Naturally after some experimentation I figured it out. Aperture will
follow symlinks but not Aliases. Go figure.
