Hi devs,

I was wondering if there is any API to write face data into Aperture. I'm switching from Picasa to Aperture, and I have 100+ people with ~10K faces in Picasa library. As a developer, I cannot bear re-labeling them one by one in Aperture. The Picasa faces are easy to read, but I have no idea about writing Aperture faces. Could anyone give me some hints about how to create faces by a plug-in?

Thanks,
Yang

Hi Yang,

AFAIK there is no API for faces. The Aperture SDK pre-dates the faces feature and hasn't been updated, unfortunately. I found the following page with an AppleScript for reading face data from Aperture. It looks like the face data is stored in a sqlite DB. Maybe you can manipulate this DB directly.

Hope that helps.

Cheers,
Daniel
