When being used with Aperture 3.2, I have noticed that my export plug-in only ever shows the message "Plug-In Export in Progress" in the Activity Window. Debugging the issue revealed that the -lockProgress, -progress and -unlockProgress methods of the ApertureExportPlugIn protocol are never being called for the lifetime of the export session.

For a large and/or slow-to-execute export, this is causing some confusion with my users — making them believe that things might be broken all of a sudden. Is this a newly-introduced bug? or am I missing some other mechanism for informing Aperture (or the ApertureExportManager instance) that there is update progress information available?

I'm developing a new plugin and I've noticed the same problem. I haven't been able to find a workaround yet.

I've submitted a bug report 10332248.
