It is important for a Client to be aware of the financial forecast of the project at any point of time. The dynamic (changing) nature of cost of construction projects influence the stake holders to identify cost forecasts early. It is project Quantity Surveyor's key responsibility to report project costs in a systematic way.
Good contracts preparer or contract administrator shall be able to understand the best practices of contract drafting to avoid conflicts in the contract. Disputes are common in construction industry due to the huge risks involved in and the complexity of works. It is important to understand the dispute resolution procedures to mitigate the impacts of disputes. It is a prime responsibility of Quantity Surveyor to use best mechanisms to resolve disputes mutually respecting to rights of all contracted parties.
