Sims 4 Bitter Sentiment

Ijust recently started my own legacy challenge, my first child has the best possible relationship with her mother who got engaged a while back in that save file and married, making her daughter the flower pal or whatever it is called and i actively invited her to the wedding. Ever since that wedding now though the daughter has the bitter sentiment "wasnt invited to the wedding" and it keeps coming back, when i cheat it away it comes back, when i wait it out it renews itself, i cant apologize when my active sim is the mother and it just ruins their relationship. Is there a way with mods or cheats to actually fully remove the value of a sentiment? Since SOMEWHERE it still has to be saved and i cant figure it out. When i cheat away the relationship entirely for them to make a new fresh start my game crashes and i dont want to break the save file entirely

Yeah, I checked mccc all i could try there was delete the relationship entirely which crashed my game once I tried both to get to know each other again since the game isn't used to the mother having no relationship with her daughter I suppose.

I did in my frustration however just cheat away the marriage itself with the UI Cheats Extension I believe, going the extra mile to just remarry with only their two kids being invited and it seems to have worked.

It's just insanely frustrating having to pay and deal with a marriage again simply for the game not functioning properly giving me that sentiment and having to figure out how to actually remove that kinda stuff since it was literally game breaking in a way where the sim who thought she wasn't invited was constantly autonomously being rude to her mother simply because the game decided she wasn't invited while she was even one of the special roles in the ceremony.

Once they added sentiments they should've also added a way with ingame cheats to remove them permanently without them reappearing literally every time the sim sees the other sim because when i actively tell the game I don't want this sentiment to be a thing why does it think I actually meant "wow what a good idea give it to me again" or at least have them work properly with being gone once their value = 0

Someone has posted a cheat in the sims community but I can't get my head round the coding. As soon as I have more info, I'll let you know. Or maybe someone will see this and come to our rescue! I'm fed up taking my sims on dates, reviewing wedding vows etc. I have too many other sims to think about and of course, if they have kids it's going to get really messy! lol.

I totally agree! My problem is that there are some sentiments that my sims would have if they had been introduced to the game earlier, and I'd love to add them to my sims now. I once had a mother save her child from freezing to death by pleading to the grim reaper. If sentiments had existed when this happened, they would each have positive sentiments towards each other, but as it was a few weeks before their introduction, it's as if it never happened now that the moodlets have gone. I really hope a cheat comes out so I can add these sentiments!

It really bugs me that the game makers are not listening to the players. So many are upset by this sentiment thing and I spend more time fixing things than playing the game happily, like I used to. I hate cheating, but really these sentiments ruin long relationships and cause rifts in once happy families. Anyway, hope the cheat fixes some of your games - it's tiresome putting it all in (make sure you have testing cheats true on first btw) but it's worth it to see your sims happy again. Sadly it can only be done with sims on the same lot, so when the kids move out they are like strangers to their parents. I got one of the kids to give the mother a resident key (we are famous) but she doesn't use it, just stands outside looking dazed. if I see her I get one of her sons to hug her but there's no option to invite her in. *shakes head*

Sentiments just proper suck. They don't fix the lack of personality, most of the time they don't make sense. I actually didn't think it was possible for sims 4 to get WORSE but here we are. Christ, just give me a box to uncheck.

@Gednaa This is amazing! Thank you for sharing! I just had another dreaded hurt sentiment from a toddler when he didn't want comforting after a potty accident. Why is my fussy toddler so fussy?? Anyway, one thing I will note is that when I put in the -100 cheat to remove the Hurt sentiment, he got the deeply wounded sentiment for some reason. However, when I entered the -100 cheat to remove deeply wounded, it was gone. So, perhaps the cheats aren't entirely stable? Maybe something to watch. Even so, I'm ever so grateful to have an option!

With the Snowy Escape expansion for The Sims 4, we were also given a free update to improve relationships between our sims. This update allows sims to have more personal connections, as well as unique profiles.

Along with sim profiles, we have sentiments. In this guide, we are going to go over everything you need to know about sentiments, as well as each one available in the base game and as part of an expansion. First, let's look at what sentiment is.

Sentiments are essentially unique feelings that sims have for each other. They can be influenced by actions or relationships and can be positive or negative. Sentiments can work like memories as well. For example, if a couple experiences a romantic date or conversation, a new sentiment could form between the two sims. Sentiments can be long-term like this, but they can also be short-term.

Additionally, each sim experiences life differently, so their sentiments may vary. For example, one sim could experience positive sentiments about a moment, while another sim could experience a negative sentiment. Overall, it comes down to their own interests and relationship with the other sims involved.

To find sentiments between two sims, head to the relationship panel on the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. Here, you will see all the sims that your sim has relationships with. Clicking on a sim will display several options, with "Open Sim Profile" being one of them. Click on this, and the Sim Profile for the selected sim will open.

This profile shows everything that you know about the sim, with the sentiments displayed at the very bottom. If you haven't had any meaningful moments between this sim, then this section will be empty. Along with the sim's sentiment toward the second sim, you will also be able to see the second sim's sentiments toward your sim. This is helpful if the second sim is not in your household.

If your sim is currently talking to another, you can see any present sentiments in the conversation panel in the top middle portion of the screen. Below the relationship levels and conversational tone, you can find an icon that looks like a book. Clicking on this will display all current sentiments that your sim has with the other.

Some sentiments involve where you are. For example, let's say you have a sim alone in a room. When their romantic partner walks into the room, certain love-related sentiments may appear. These sentiments do not last forever, but they will stick around if the two sims remain together and in love.

What happens when the bug occurs? The husband/father gets a hurt sentiment.

What do you expect to see? Not getting a hurt sentiment.
