Succeeded in Running APE for Flash Player 10

Hi all,

Couple of days back i downloaded AE source and started to understand
it. When i tried to execute a swf on FL10, there were some errors.
I tried searching for the fix but i couldnot get it. I tried renaming
the Vector Class of APE so that there wont be any conflict with AS3's
Vector Class.

With that change, i am successfully running APE on FP10 now.

Hi Swami

I`m beggining with APE today... and I was stuck because I my target
was FL10. Changed to FL9 and it worked. My question is, for games,
whats the differences between versions 9 and 10?

Hey

One of the differences between 9 -10 is the vector class. Which
conflict with Ape. It is basically an Array. But it is types which
means that the datatype it holds has to be defined. It is much faster
than the normal Array. Other specialities in fp10 is native 3d and
inverse kinematics... Check out G. Skinners blog to get more details
about features...can't remember the URL ATM (writing from iphone) but
Bing and Google can help ;)

Thanks for the reply, Klaus.

So I must assume that Swami modified tha last version of APE to work
with FL10, right? :)

Can you share the source for the sample that works in cs4 ie the fla
and the as file
the problem is i tried the example in ape homepage with your modified
source as follows

and i set the name of the class in publish settings action script 3.0


but still i get the following error



1061: Call to a possibly undefined method addMasslessForce through a
reference with static type Class.
1137: Incorrect number of arguments. Expected no more than 0.

It would be great if you can share the fla file and as file on how to
use the new modified swami charan's updated cove
