I am still working on this Alpha.

But I am still trying to enable ethernet patch on this one in order to use Google apps in a clean way.

I'll send a link soon, without this patch if it take me too much time.

None :-)

And for now, I am stuck with the ethernet patch, and I am thinking about focusing on 10.1 as there is an armv6 maintainer of it.

And on top of this, I have many many things to do at work.
So, my first plan is to release a simple image that would work with some fix and/or with particual hardware (WiFi Dongle natively supported)

I'll let you know soon, before the end of this week I hope.

Hi,

After wasting some times to make a proper 10.1 compile, or being able to use ethernet in a proper way, I will just release a my pre-alpha with bugs..

Clément

Here is the Alpha :

It's an USB disk Image, 4GB large.

One advise : turn off all hibernation and stand-by behavior because it's dirty.
Please, give feedbacks

Alpha release :

Doesn't work :

  • Ethernet connection via Android System (it think that it's not connected)
  • Sleep Stand-by and Poweroff are dirty
  • Multi pages in terminal emulator

Work :
  • Root (already done)
  • Gapps (with some manipulation - need wifi to activate account)
  • Mali OpenGL driver and maybe HW decoder too

Oh, I missed that when you annouced it!
How does one go about loading it on the APC?
Does it require a serial-to-usb connector or not? I still don't have one of those...

You have tout unpack the image on an USB stick. Enable USB boot and it's done

Thanks, yes, I ended up figuring out how to activate USB boot with your other script via adb. I'm not going to use your gingerbread image in the end, because I could not get wifi and bluetooth to work... probably some weird compatibility thing with my USB wifi stick.
Still, if anyone else wants to try it, it seemed to work quite well.
Be careful with the adb scribt though, I'm still trying to re-enable booting from nand or micro-sd, I can only boot from usb for now, not really sure what I did there...
