Sigh,
No no, you have completely forgotten 3 of the most important parts of
any religion.
1) The unconfirmed stories of miracles (the sillier the better
apparently)
2) The specific prophesies (except in at least two of the following :
who, what where or when)
3) The religious holiday with strange eating habits or not shaving, or
whatever
Humans want pretty lights and fairy tales, they want to be told what
to do and they want to feel different to "the other people" while
having a connection to their brethren.
