You are the blessing of 'GOD' and I' m your 'WORSHIPER' song was offered to honour you from our colleague Mr. Mani Gurung , Master's student of Second Year, Department of Sociology and Anthropology (DoSA) Patan Multiple Campus (PMC).
On behalf of all students, teachers,
Head of the Departments of different faculties and departments, assistant
campus chiefs including campus chief are extremely and heartily thankful to
your gracious presence and special lecture on the "current status of
dependency theory and it's impact on World system and Globalization in
National, Asian and global perspective. Your acceptance of our invitation quickly
became very crucial when Dr. Arjun Karki gave a green signal. All are requested
to kindly join with me in thanking for the gracious presence and special
lecture and thanking words to Professor Amin and Madam respectively.
The history and contextual aspect of emerging Dependence Theory of Underdevelopment (DTU) was very much useful for us. The importance of this theory was and still existing in a wider scenario.
Avoiding the external support
through increasing wise use of internal resources with a national commitment
could reduce the dependency responded by you in raised in a number of
questions. You cited many current examples that Nepal can reduce the dependency
in a number of cases.
Response on the following questions and more were very prompt and useful to all
of us.
Your
presence in a cordial invitation of Associate Professor Dr. Keshav Raj Khadka
became a milestone in a presence of Campus Chief Madam Ms. Krshna Badan
Nakarmi, HoD, Economics Dr. R. C. Bhattarai, HoD, Population Mr. R. Bhattrai,
HoD, DoSA Madam M. K.C. and other respected teachers after a short meeting with
HoD madam of DoSA and her other teaching colleagues and students.
It would not be possible for us to have your special lecture if Dr. Arjun Karki
did not have supported us so thanks goes to him, similarly his colleague Mr.
Shyam is also thankful for his coordination. Our colleague Ms. Sharada,
untiringly busy in meeting Professor Amin from the Conference on Democracy ,
Development and Peace in Asia to bring him in our Campus TT hall.
Respected madam M. K.C. HoD, DoSA is very much thankful for her over all
guidance and needful support as when needed from coordinating with Campus Chief
madam to addressing welcome speech and holy piece of cloths to Professor Amin
and madam till the departure of Professor Amin and Madam. Special thanks for
our respected campus Chief madam K. B. Nakarmi for her needful support
providing TT Hall, Tea and biscuits, sound system, campus car and driver R. B.
Marharjan. Similarly, thanks goes to respected teachers Dr. G. Kshetri, Prakash
Rai, Pradeep Parajuli, Puspa Rai, M. Ghimire, S. Nakarmi, H. H. Ghimire, H.
Bhattarai, R.B. K.C., B. Dahal, L.R. Pande, S. Pandit, C. K. Pande, D. Pande
and many more....from DoSA respectively for their active participation and
inspitration. Respected Madam Ganga K.C. is thankful for providing us very
close support and handing over the gifts to Professor Amin.
Associate Professor Dr. K. R Khadka, Chairperson TUTA PMC Unit is
thankful for his distance support though he is in Ottawa, Canada since last 15
days. Similarly, respected HoDs Dr. R.C. Bhattari and R. Bhattarai from
Economics and Population are thankful for their active participation and
welcoming, introducing other teaching colleagues and member staffs and briefing
to Professor Amin in Department of Economics with nice cup of tea.
Many more respected teachers from various Departments are thankful for
providing us various supports though their name is not enlisted here due to
space.
Colleagues Chanda, Ramita, Laxmi are thankful for providing a bunch of flowers
and holy piece of clothes to distinguish Professor Amin and Madam. Similarly,
thanks goes to colleagues Sharada, J. Humagain, G. Bhatta, Sita, Nooma,
Kausalya, Pratimia, Jagriti, Jiwan, Bimal, Juju, D. Gautam, H. Karki, L.N.
Gautam, S. Gurung, P. Thapa, P. Sharma, A. Kumbhakar and many more with a long
list supported as when needed and showed their inquisitive right from the
initiation. Thanks to Kavita for vote of thanks and Mani for his welcome and
honour song "you are.....I'm a worshiper".
DoSA administrative Staffs P. Marjan, S. Tamang and his wife and sound manager
R. Maharjan and his colleagues are equally thankful whose help and needful
support became crucial to us. Last but not least, all distinguish participants are thankful who attended from
beginning till the end of the session, actively participated, asked questions
to Professor Amin including taking group photos ( kindly share the taken photographs
to all from your camera) drank tea and biscuits.
It is humbly requested all to kindly add if any thing important is left out or clarify on the ambiguity.
We all wish Professor Amin and Madam's happy stay, safe journey (departure) and expect your ever support
to DoSAPMC. Professor Amin's future support is very essential and remain crucial as our
Campus is going to be upgraded with an independent University soon. Whole
Campus will be benefited from your future support.

requested to kindly participate your special lecture. The Dependency Theory and
the world system model are compulsory subjects for the students of Master
degree in both the first and second year prescribed by the Syllabus of
Sociology and Anthropology. We all are very fortunate having you to listen from
yourself in a capacity of founding father of this theory. Similarly, what
could be the solutions to solve the problems foreseen by the Dependency theory
and world system model. Associate Professor Dr. Keshav Raj Khadka, former head
of the Economics Department Chairperson of Tribhuwan University Teachers
Association, Patan Campus Unit who is your one of the good friends had
shared about this system a little bit last year.Currently he is in Canada with
a Right to Food Program. He told me that he missed you a lot both to meet in
person and to listen about your presentation.
We had no enough time to share with you in detail on tomorrow's program.
Our campus premises is just about 15 minutes walking distance from the Himalaya
Hotel. We will be their by 8: 05 A.M. thinking that your breakfast will be over
and we will proceed for the Campus. If you would like to have a walk then we
need to start by 8:10 A.M. other wise students will arrange the transportation
accordingly.

I'm pleased to inform you that one of the fathers of the Dependency Theory and variants of the World System model Professor Samir Amin has kindly given his consent to welcome him at our Patan Multiple Campus by tomorrow morning at 8:30 A.M. sharp. Though Professor had preferred for the evening but we requested him keeping in mind of every body's scheduled work for the day. It is not easy to post pond your daily schedule nor it is as easy as this time to request and invite him at our own cost. ( Though it depends on our will power and desire both). I feel very much proud to request and invite to all interested dignitaries are requested to kindly participate in his key note speech
Special thanks goes to Dr. Arjun Karki for inviting and providing us an opportunity to participate on his key note speech in inaugural session on a conference on Democracy, Development and Peace in South Asia. and providing Professor Samir Amin's time for us with logistic support despite his very hectic schedule for a short stay in Nepal. Equally his whole team are very much thankful for their untiring hospitality they provided to about 150 of us. I must not forget to acknowledge to Sharada ji and Shyam ji's help for all this effort.
