Function pointers in cython

I would like to pass a c-function as an argument to a cython
function. I guess I should pass a function pointer. Python does this
automatically, however I can't figure out how to do it with cython.
Is anyone familiar with this?

As it turns out, I needed to install the newest version of cython.
Ubuntu's "Synaptic Package Manager" told me that I had the latest
version...this means I had the latest version in some particular
repository. What I needed to do was to goto the cython website and
install directly.
