Ginny Stibolt, FNPS Member and author of "Sustainable Gardening for Florida" and now "Organic Methods for Vegetable Gardening in Florida" will be speaking at Tallahassee Nurseries at 10am Saturday May 11th. She's offering her new book as a door prize.

Her topic will be: Ecosystem Gardening
as an Important Strategy for successful Organic Gardening

Ginny will discuss the role of native plants and natural habitats play to help increase the success and productivity of edible gardens in the landscape.
She also cover some of the basics of how and why organic gardening can be accomplished in Florida.


Ginny Stibolt, a life-long gardener with a masters degree in Botany, is the author of Sustainable Gardening for Florida and coauthor of Organic Methods for Vegetable Gardening in Florida, both published by University Press of Florida. She has been a presenter at various garden-related events and festivals in Florida, Master Gardener meetings, Native Plant Society meetings, Sierra Club meetings, garden club gatherings, and more. She writes about plants and gardening for Floridata.com, Florida Native Plant Society, Native Plants & Wildlife Gardens, Lawn Reform Coalition, and on her own blog:

Hi!  Sweet of you to let me know this is going on.  I'm way out of the loop at the  moment.  I had complete hip replacement surgery recently and cannot even drive my car for now. 
 
Hopefully when my leg/hip are more normal I can come play!
 
I hope all is well with you, Nathan.
